Operations of the robotic palletizing system begin with the automated pallet dispenser releasing one pallet at a time as bags arrive simultaneously on a separate line. Dedicated reference systems position both correctly. Alternatively, the robot can pick and place the pallet in position using the same gripper used later for bags. Once both are in position, the robot places bags on pallet in as-required matrix formations and as guided by the selected recipe. An optional automated tool changer enables the same robot to palletize other units.
